The Way Home | Short Film
When we left the West Coast, I didn’t know what we were walking into. I knew we needed a change. I knew I wanted to be closer to family. But what I didn’t know was how deeply this move would shift me, as a husband, as a father, and as a filmmaker.
The Way Home is a short film made from archival footage, spanning from the moment my son was born in 2023 to where we are now. It’s a mosaic of growth, quiet pickups after daycare, pizza nights where he finally sits in the booth like one of us, tricycle rides that feel like his first taste of independence.

None of it was staged. None of it was planned. I wasn’t even sure I would share it.
But somewhere in those everyday moments, I found my creative voice again. Not the one chasing perfect light or polished edits, the one rooted in love, stillness, and honesty.
This film isn’t about the best shot or the most cinematic angle. It’s about what’s real.
And for the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel the need to explain it — just to share it.
If you take the time to watch it, thank you.
And if you’re in a season of change, becoming, or figuring it out, I see you—this one’s for us.
